Strawberry season officially wrapped up at our local farm last weekend. We managed to get one last bucket of berries before it was all said and done. And what better way is there to celebrate summer than with popsicles!

We’ve been loving yogurt popsicles in our house, and they are so easy to make. Simply blend together greek yogurt and fruit until smooth, then pour into popsicle molds.

After setting in the freezer for a few hours they are ready to enjoy.

For this recipe you will need strawberries, greek yogurt, and if you would like to add it, a little sweetener such as banana, honey, agave, or maple syrup. I used banana since we had some extra ripe bananas on hand.

How To Make Strawberry Yogurt Popsicles

  • Place strawberries and yogurt in blender.
  • Blend until smooth. (if using frozen berries, you may need to add a little milk to thin out the mixture and help the ingredients blend together).
  • Taste and add banana or other sweetener (such as honey) to taste.
  • Pour into popsicle molds.
  • Add popsicle sticks.
  • Freeze at least 3 hours or until center is frozen.

Depending on what type of popsicle mold you have, removing the popsicles can be tricky. Before we had silicone molds, we had plastic mini popsicle molds which were great for a small toddler-sized snack, but were a bit tricky to get the pops out of the mold. I accidentally cracked the plastic one day pulling them out too hard. I learned to set the plastic mold in a container of warm water to help loosen the popsicles first.

How to Remove Popsicles from Molds

  • if using silicone molds, set out for a few minutes before gently pulling the sides of the mold away from the popsicle. Then push from the bottom with one hand and pull the popsicle out using the stick with your other hand.
  • if using plastic molds, set in warm (not hot) water for a few minutes until popsicles loosen from the sides, then, gripping the popsicle stick, pull out of molds.
