Month of Thanks

I’m not sure how time is flying by so quickly, but here we are in Thanksgiving week. I swear it was just the end of October!

Pear and fall leaves this recipe

I think we’re all starting to feel the holiday rush around here — things just seem busier and I’ve noticed I’ve had some stress dreams the past couple of nights. Crazy stuff! I’m looking forward to a day off to prepare for the holiday since we’re hosting both of our families at our house this year.

I’ve been trying to really absorb everything about fall this year, because it just seems to pass by so quickly now. As if I blink and it’s already Christmas. And it’s just one more reason I’m glad to be reminded of what I’m thankful for as we’re drawing so close to Thanksgiving.

I’m still keeping up with jotting down what I’m thankful for each day. Check out part 1 here.

Here are my thoughts for the last two weeks:

8: the kind, caring, funny, patient women who care for little bun at school

9: giggles and a four toothed smile

10: a glass of wine waiting for me at dinner; thankful for my sweet husband pouring me a glass without asking if I wanted any…because yes, please!!

11: slowing down, putting the phone down, holding a sleeping bun, watching the sunset in muted fall colors

12: fluffy puppy fur

13: health and the opportunity to help others through volunteering

14: a cozy fire going in the fireplace and fall simmer pot

15: tiny clapping hands – to songs on the radio, while we’re playing, while he’s nursing 😂

16: awesome coworkers, professional challenges and feeling accomplished after meeting the challenge head on

17: pizza night and sharing a delicious beer with my sweetheart

18: family snuggles in bed after breakfast

19: a nap

20: my mom, who is so sweet and thoughtful – she just brought us a beautiful poinsettia plant this past weekend just because

Wishing you all a lovely Thanksgiving holiday!
