Life Updates and Getting Back at It

August 9, 2017 by Brooke Leave a Comment

It’s been long enough for a newsy update type of post, right?

this recipe

You know, when people say time speeds up once you have a baby, they aren’t kidding! It’s difficult to believe that a year ago I was just starting to share my news that little bun was on the way, and now I have a very busy seven month old.

Very. Busy.

He’s mobile, and exploring, and just a little busybody.

He’s such a joy, and I love looking back at photos of the last several months – I often catch myself lost in photos of him during the day.

I’m constantly in awe of how we even got here!

Aww. He was so little! And now he’s a wiggly little thing almost ready to fully crawl. He’s got the army crawl down, though, which means he’s into everything – you blink, and he’s down the hallway.

Setting into a new routine took awhile but we’re now on a roll with quick meal prep, bath, and bed each night. Things are pretty basic in the meal department right now, but I’m finding myself longing for some creative time in the kitchen. I’ll need to carve out some time to get back at it!

I have some recipe roundups planned for you – think freezer meals and meal prep – so look for that soon! Sometimes I feel as though I’ve reached the end of the internet while breastfeeding each night, so I’m hoping to get some writing done instead of mindlessly scrolling.

Any other tips you have for me to pass the time? Share them in the comments!
