Perfect for a post-workout refuel or as an afternoon snack, this chocolate protein smoothie is a healthy way to satisfy your chocolate cravings.



1 frozen banana, broken into pieces

5 strawberries (about a handful)

1/2 cup your favorite milk (almond or other plant milk for a vegan smoothie)

3 Tbsp protein powder (I used hemp protein powder or you can use your favorite protein powder)

1/2 to 1 Tbsp cocoa powder (stay on the lower end with 1/2 Tbsp for a milder chocolate flavor, more for a stronger flavor)

ice (optional – add ice to thicken and/or make the smoothie colder)

maple syrup (this is optional to sweeten, add up to 1 tsp)


  1. Add all ingredients to blender or food processor. Cover.
  2. Blend until all ingredients are blended and smooth.
  3. Pour into glass and serve.
