Blood Orange Recipe Roundup

March 24, 2018 by Brooke Leave a Comment

Winter seems to be hanging around, even though it is technically spring. It’s been cold and gray, which has been leaving me craving citrus, and specifically anything and everything blood orange.

I even had to get some new punchy kitchen towels to help me banish the gray skies away.

And, as this weekend promises to continue the gray skies, I decided to round up a few delicious blood orange recipes for you to enjoy.

One of my favorite ways to enjoy oranges is to simply slice and eat them. But there are a few other ways I’ve been wanting to add more citrus into my meals, and I’ve found some great ideas scrolling through Pinterest.

Blood Orange Glazed Salmon — we made this a few weeks ago and it was so good! It also made the house smell amazing while the glaze was simmering on the stovetop.

Winter Chopped Salad with Roasted Sweet Potato and Blood Orange Vinaigrette — this looks so yummy, and colorful too!

Blood Orange Chia Seed Pudding — I’m trying to get more into chia pudding, and this looks like just the thing to try – especially with the combination of ginger with oranges

I’m sure that these will have me channeling all the warm, sunshine-y vibes to get me through these last cold gray days before spring is really here.
